GARDaccess will harness and leverage the expertise of the alliance partners to secure long-term organizational capacity to continue serving those who may benefit from the organization's mission and vision.
GARDaccess will develop and maintain guidelines and a library of tools for implementing rare disease programs in LMICs. Furthermore, we will build resources to provide strategic and tactical support in select priority disciplines by identifying and coordinating a global network of recognized experts for delivering sustainable solutions. Lastly, we will develop a decision matrix to systematically prioritize partners, diseases and geographies to fill strategic and functional gaps for maximum efficiency and effectiveness.
GARDaccess will collaborate to help elevate rare diseases as a global health priority. We will establish partnerships with other rare disease organizations uniting global, local and community patient groups to support education, awareness, and advocacy. Partnerships of this magnitude will help facilitate coordination of activities and outreach to ensure current, accurate, consistent, and effective program messaging. Innovative educational materials, social and other public service outreach will be developed in concert with our partners and in alignment with other GARDaccess priorities and programs.
GARDaccess will compile and make available, via a cloud-based technology platform, program guidelines and a library of tools for organizations to effectively plan and implement rare disease programs. It is essential to develop a framework to facilitate effective monitoring and evaluation of programs for feedback and adjustments for continuous quality improvement and operational excellence within and across diseases. Lessons learned will be housed in a repository that aggregates and readily shares program and performance data to improve accuracy and appropriateness of care to accelerate future progress.
